FIRST NATIONS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Wherever we work, we acknowledge First Nations people as the original inhabitants and custodians of the land and sea country around the Coral Sea Arc, and we recognise their enduring traditional knowledge and wisdom.

We acknowledge the Wulgurukaba people as the traditional owners of Yunbenun, the island where the Coral Sea Foundation is based, and we express our gratitude to be able to live and work here.

We recognise that the sovereignty of Australia was never ceded and that the land was taken by force, and we support First Nations people in their quest for recognition and justice.
